Fun days out at the Cambridge Museum of Technology

If you are looking for educational COVID-friendly days out, then the Cambridge Museum of Technology should be top of your list! Here you will discover and learn about the progression of power technology, from steam to electricity.

The interesting museum contains a wide variety of exhibits which include working engines, telephone exchanges, printing presses, and much much more! COVID GUIDELINES FOR BOURN POTTERY:

 

  • Please bring and wear a face covering (unless you have a medical condition that makes it difficult to do so). If you prefer, there are face visors available to borrow from the studio
  • Your temperature will be taken on arrival at the studio using an infrared thermometer. Customers with a temperature over 38°C will not be allowed to use the studio.
  • You will be required to sanitise your hands with the gel provided on entering and leaving the studio, or you can bring your own gel if you prefer
  • Aprons are not provided at the moment, so you should either wear clothes that you don’t mind getting clay on – or bring your own apron
  • Please note that there are currently no toilet facilities available at the studio (unless it is an emergency!) so please go before you arrive
  • Please don’t attend if you have a temperature or feel unwell.

Imperial War Museum Duxford

Anglia Indoor Karting

COVID GUIDELINES FOR ANGLIA INDOOR KARTING:

 

  • All activities including Arrive & Drive, Cadet club, and Kubz club will need to be pre-booked (Arrive & Drive is now pre-bookable up to 7 days in advance)
  • Whilst on track activities may be greater than 6, maximum group size off track is 6 and customers will be required to adhere to the rule of 6 while off track
  • Customers will need to wear a facemask while in the centre and a balaclava and gloves whilst driving.
  • Anyone who has a temperature, dry cough, loss of taste, or smell, or who has been in contact with anyone with these symptoms should not attend the session
  • Please follow the one way route whilst in the centre
  • Customers must adhere to social distancing guidance whilst in the centre. There are floor markers around the centre to help you with this. All members of the group must please stay together.

Woburn Safari Park

One of our perfect COVID-friendly days out for animal- and nature-lovers of all ages is a trip to Woburn Safari Park!

The park is set in over 360 acres of stunning parkland and home to over 1,000 wild and exotic animals. Woburn is an award-winning safari park and makes an incredible contribution to the conservation and protection of animals of all kinds and is somewhere families can enjoy time spent together whilst taking in and learning about earth’s animals in a beautiful and natural environment.

Our final trip on our list of COVID-friendly days out is a trip to the phenomenal Raptor Foundation in Huntingdon.

The Raptor Foundation is a phenomenal charity dedicated to the care and conservation of a wide variety of birds of prey.
